Slow Downs

Incomplete Applications
Applications that are missing signatures, notarization, or required documents will be mailed back to the applicant, causing significant delays.
Background Check Processing
The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) can take 2-8 weeks to process fingerprints. The Board cannot expedite this process.
Poor Fingerprint Quality
If fingerprints are smudged or not fully rolled, they will be rejected by DCI, requiring the applicant to submit a new set of cards.
