Endorsement Steps

  1. Step 1

    Complete Education & Supervised Practice

    Earn a master's degree or higher from an accredited institution. Complete a minimum of 1,200 hours of board-approved supervised practice through an ACEND-accredited program.

  2. Step 2

    Pass the CDR Examination

    Successfully pass the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Registration Examination for Dietitians. Utah requires you to hold active CDR registration.

  3. Step 3

    Submit the Application via DOPL

    Apply online through the Utah DOPL eGov portal or submit a paper application. Pay the $60 nonrefundable application fee.

  4. Step 4

    Provide Verification

    Submit a copy of your current active CDR Registration Card along with your application. Utah relies heavily on CDR registration to verify you have met the education and exam requirements.
