How to Apply

Submit Online Application ▾Complete the 'Pharmacist Initial / New Application' on the South Dakota Board of Pharmacy e-licensing platform. This must be done before the Board can approve you for exams.

Register for Exams ▾Register with the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) for the NAPLEX and the MPJE (South Dakota Edition).

Complete Background Check ▾After submitting your application, the Board will mail you fingerprint cards. Complete these and return them for state and federal criminal background investigations.

Pass Examinations ▾Once the Board grants eligibility, purchase and schedule your exams. You must achieve a scaled score of at least 75 on both the NAPLEX and MPJE.
