Create an eBiz Account ▾Register for a user account on the Montana Department of Labor & Industry eBiz portal to begin the application process.

Submit Online Application ▾Select 'Start a New License Application', choose 'New Health Care License', then 'Board of Pharmacy', and select 'Certified Pharmacy Technician'. This single application is used for both full and provisional licenses.

Pay Application Fee ▾Pay the non-refundable $35 application fee through the online portal using a credit/debit card or e-check.

Complete Fingerprint Background Check ▾Obtain fingerprints on an FD-258 card and mail it to the Montana Department of Justice with a $30 processing fee. You must submit your license application before sending fingerprints.

Provide Proof of Certification ▾Upload proof of active national certification from PTCB or NHA (ExCPT). If you are not yet certified, you may be issued a provisional license if you are employed by a Montana pharmacy.
