How to Apply

  1. Complete Education ▾
    Graduate from a physical therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).

  2. Register for the NPTE ▾
    Register and pay for the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) through the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT).

    Submit your initial license application online or via paper form to the Maine Board of Examiners in Physical Therapy.

What are the continuing education (CE) requirements for Maine PTs? ▾
Maine law currently does not require continuing education for the renewal of a Physical Therapist license.
