Slow Downs

Fingerprint Card Rejection
Cards that are folded, smudged, or missing the correct ORI code will be rejected, requiring a new submission.
PDMP Registration Delay
Failing to register for the PDMP with 'pending' status can delay the final issuance of the license once exams are passed.
Missing School Seal
The Certificate of Graduation must have the official school seal; forms without it are returned to the applicant.

Questions

Does Idaho require the MPJE?
No. As of recent rule changes, Idaho no longer requires the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE) for initial licensure or reciprocity.
What are the continuing education (CE) requirements?
Pharmacists must complete 15 hours of CE per calendar year. Idaho is transitioning to a standard-of-care approach where pharmacists must maintain professional competence.
How much does the initial license cost?
The initial application fee is $110, plus a $32 background check fee, for a total of $142.
How long are background check results valid?
Background check results are valid for 180 days for a single application.
