What You'll Need

How to Apply

  1. Register for Exams with NABP ▾
    Create an NABP e-Profile and register for the NAPLEX and Alabama MPJE. You must request eligibility for Alabama.

  2. Create an ALBOP Gateway Profile ▾
    Register for an account on the Alabama Board of Pharmacy Licensure Gateway to manage your application.

  3. Submit Online Application ▾
    Log in to the Gateway, select 'Applications', and choose 'New Pharmacist Exam'. Complete the form and submit.

  4. Pay Application Fees ▾
    Pay the $300 examination fee and $100 initial registration fee. Payment must be received within 7 days of submission or the application will be cancelled.

    Upload your photo, ID, and ensure your school sends the official College Affidavit directly to the Board.

    Once the Board approves your eligibility, NABP will issue an Authorization to Test (ATT). Schedule your exams through Pearson VUE.

Transfer License

Questions

How many CE hours are required for renewal? ▾
Pharmacists must complete 30 hours of ACPE-approved CE every biennial cycle, with at least 6 hours being 'live' (real-time interaction).
What are the CE requirements for my first renewal? ▾
If licensed for one full calendar year, 15 hours (3 live) are required. If licensed for less than one full year, no CE is required for the first renewal.
When does my license expire? ▾
Pharmacist licenses expire on December 31st of even-numbered years.
